Dr. Mounir El Asmar received the SSEBE Outstanding Service Award for 2016. The nominator wrote, “Dr. El Asmar has demonstrated excellence and innovation in service to SSEBE. His diverse accomplishments are in line with ASU’s New American University design aspirations. He has served his profession, engaged in student recruitment and retention, assumed committee leadership, and contributed to the School’s national and international visibility.”
Dr. G. Edward Gibson, Jr., Director of ASU’s School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, presented the award on behalf of the SSEBE Awards Committee on August 12, 2016, in Tempe, AZ.
