class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-lead has-asu-maroon-color has-text-color\">At the Complex Mixing and Advanced Turbulence lab, we <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>understand<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>predict<\/strong><\/span> the action of turbulence in fluids for aerospace, maritime, atmospheric, energy, and chemical engineering applications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Research activities of CMAT Lab involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default has-asu-black-color has-text-color\">\n<li>Investigating various turbulence phenomena by <strong>developing and implementing advanced multi-diagnostic experimental approaches<\/strong>, <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Developing stochastic metrics<\/strong> that better describe phenomena of engineering interest from first principles approach, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing models that better <strong>predict these complex fluid flow behavior<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We do these on a fundamental level so that the science we discover enables applied research on wide range of applications!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Want to be part of CMAT Lab?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There is an <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.interfolio.com\/166524\">open post-doctoral opening<\/a> starting Fall 2025 in experimental turbulence research<\/strong>.<br>All students interested in joining the lab should <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\"
