Major in physics, he finished his undergraduate study in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). His undergraduate thesis is titled \u201cSynthesizing and Characterization of High-performance n-type PbTe\u201d, which mainly focuses on various doping to boost the heat-electricity transform efficiency. Besides thermoelectric semiconductors, he is also interested in advanced transmission electron microscopy and spectroscopy, which lead him to Crozier Research Group. He also spent a summer in UC Irvine to study Vibrational electron energy loss spectroscopy.
