microelectronics or microchips. They\u2019re built from a combination of transistors, diodes, capacitors and resistors placed on a base made from semiconductor material. Integrated circuits are constantly evolving as new technology demands an increasing amount of computing power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrical engineering faculty members in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University are conducting research in a variety of areas related to integrated circuits, including developing manufacturing methods for 3D heterogeneously integrated microelectronics in the U.S., improving electrical test methods for heterogeneously integrated devices, developing new solutions for advanced semiconductor device packaging
