VITAE:

Eileen Seo joined the faculty at ASU in 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy and the Biodesign Center for Sustainable Macromolecular Materials and Manufacturing. Her research is focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of stimuli-responsive, dynamic soft and composite materials using the tools of polymer chemistry, additive manufacturing and nanotechnology. She obtained a B.S. in Chemical Biology at UC Berkeley (2011) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Northwestern University working with Prof. Chad Mirkin (2018). Then, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Santa Barbara in the Materials Department with Prof. Craig Hawker.
