Green Research Group at the AIChE 2025 Annual Meeting

Throughout the first week of November 2025, our students delivered a series of talks and a poster at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Boston. We are proud of their excellent presentations and contributions, and we look forward to seeing their continued impact in carbon capture and sustainable technologies.

Deepak Akundi presented his work on dual-stimuli responsive polymers for lower-energy CO₂ capture, focusing on humidity and temperature effects.

Marcel Ugwu gave an oral presentation on water management in Direct Air Capture technologies.

Saheed Raheem showcased a poster on membrane-based ocean CO₂ capture using poly(arylene ether sulfone) coatings with redox-active groups.

Mitesh Patil presented an oral talk on modeling novel direct air capture (DAC) machinery with an emphasis on sorbent performance.
