SHORT BIO

I am an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, USA. I received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2013, and I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2015. I was an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, USA, from 2016 to 2020, and an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University, USA, from 2021 to 2023. I am a Senior Member of IEEE. I currently serve as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications and served as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications from 2016 to 2021.

My research focuses on the design and analysis of distributed wirelessly connected systems using methods from stochastic optimization and machine learning.

My current research is funded by NSF under grant CNS-2129015. It was funded by NSF under grant CNS-1642982 and by DARPA to compete in the Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2). I received the NSF CAREER award in 2021, and the IEEE ComSoc Early Achievement Award from the Communication Theory Technical Committee (CTTC) in 2022.

Outside of academia, I am an outdoor enthusiast and avid cyclist. I can also be found in the kitchen cooking up my favorite Italian dishes while listening to Italian Operas.
