Kartik Bhagat is currently working at the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) as a Graduate Research Assistant. His research interests include fate and transport of microplastics in aquatic environment, water reuse, nanomaterials and biofouling. Prior to deciding to pursue a Master’s degree, Kartik was a visiting undergraduate student from the Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India conducting research with the Perreault Lab during the summer of 2019.
Kartik is currently working on an NSF-funded project, which involves understanding the microplastics interaction with synthetic organic contaminants and predict the adsorption of such contaminants on microplastics.
