A. Lili Castillo

Ph.D. Student

NSF Graduate Research Fellow 2022

A.Lili Castillo is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering Education Systems and Design. Her experiences, and those of her peers, have motivated and informed her research endeavors. Castillo is interested in investigating topics revolving around engineering identity formation, sense of belonging & persistence through engineering, and Latinx & first-generation college student pathways through engineering. Through her research, Castillo hopes to further understand the experiences of historically underrepresented populations to better inform inclusive practices in engineering education.

Lili is currently supporting my NSF project Addressing Demographic Disparities in Students Choice of Engineering Disciplines (ADDS-CoED)
