Research efforts get $3M boost from NIH grants
The NIH has awarded a three million-dollar federal stimulus fund to ASU in support of two separate two-year initiatives that will take on challenges in the fields of rapid DNA sequencing and nanotechnology. Professors Stuart Lindsay and Paul Westerhoff will lead these projects respectively. Westerhoff and his team will perform research to improve the detection and assessment of potential health risks of engineered nanomaterials in water, food, commercial products and biological samples.
