Welcome New PhD Student- Ramesh Babu Komma!

The Green Research Group is delighted to welcome Ramesh Babu Komma as our newest PhD student in Chemical Engineering at Arizona State University!

Originally from Hyderabad, India, Ramesh recently graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and Honors from the Schreyer Honors College upon completing his thesis work. His undergraduate research work focused on the characterization and development of amine-based sorbents for carbon capture- published in ACS Omega. After graduation, he continued his research, working with Dr. Xiaoshi Zhang and Dr. Alicyn Rhoades, focusing on improving the mechanical properties of 3D-printed PEEK composites. Now, at ASU, his PhD research will build on this expertise, advancing polymer composites, additive manufacturing, and carbon capture technologies.
