Open Positions

Dr. Hyunwoong Ko is actively recruiting motivated Ph.D. students. Qualified candidates will be financially supported with full research assistantship. Research will focus on state-of-the-art Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for advanced manufacturing and robotics, or other emerging engineering applications. Specific topics may cover one or more of the subtopics:

• Causal analytics based on explainable machine learning and hybrid (physics-informed and data-driven) modeling
• Digitization of physical, real entities and properties using data fusion, integration, and registration
• Data-driven process characterization and uncertainty quantification
• Data-driven decision-support for design, in-situ monitoring and control, or ex-situ evaluation
• AI models for real-time, cyber-physical, manufacturing systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in engineering, statistics, or computer science;
• International students need to meet the English proficiency requirement.
