Michelle is a 4+1 BME student who, in her undergrad years, worked in Dr. Zhu’s lab at Mayo Clinic, where her focus was cardiomyocyte stem cell research. In Dr. Nikkhah’s lab, Michelle will be working on Cardiac-on-a-chip model to study the effects of different drugs.
Shivani is a Master’s student who worked in Dr. Acharya’s lab as a research technician. Where she worked with animal models and cell cultures for a project funded by the Department of Defense. In Dr. Nikkhah’s lab, Shivani will work on tumor-on-a-chip model for glioblastoma research.
