Congratulations to Hamid on successfully passing his Ph.D. Prospectus exam!!

One step closer to achieving his goal!!

We are happy to welcome new Ph.D. Student Parisa Taklifi to the lab!!

Parisa was part of a consecutive bachelor’s to PhD program in Biotechnology at the University of Tehran. The focus of her previous research was on bone tissue engineering and the development of 3D scaffolds from naturally occurring biomaterials. She altered her PhD path by joining the ASU SHBSE PhD program. Welcome to the lab, Parisa!!

We are happy to welcome two new Masters’ students Michelle Jang and Shivani Mantri to the lab !!

Michelle is a 4+1 BME student who, in her undergrad years, worked in Dr. Zhu’s lab at Mayo Clinic, where her focus was cardiomyocyte stem cell research. In Dr. Nikkhah’s lab, Michelle will be working on Cardiac-on-a-chip model to study the effects of different drugs. Shivani is a Master’s student who worked in Dr. Acharya’s…

We are happy to welcome new Ph.D. student Twinkle to the lab!!

Twinkle defended her master’s thesis in June 2023, which was passed with no revision. Following which, she enrolls in a PhD program under Dr. Nikkhah’s guidance, where she will be working on Tumor-on-a-chip model.
