Lydia obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from ASU before going to Northern Arizona University for her master’s degree in teaching science. She is currently working on her Ph.D in Biochemistry with both Dr. Nikkhah and Dr. Joshua LaBaer. Her current work focuses on mutant p53’s role in cancer progression and drug resistance.
