Faculty onboarding
The Fulton Schools provides a comprehensive onboarding program for new faculty in their first year at ASU.
The Fulton Schools Faculty Onboarding Program provides essential support, resources, and guidance to help faculty navigate the complexities of their new roles. The faculty onboarding program consists of the following five components, which align with feedback received from faculty hired in recent years about what would have been most helpful to them.
- Orientation and welcome events.
- School/unit level onboarding.
- Fulton Schools values-driven professional development.
- Community-building and mentoring.
- Onboarding resources.
By offering structured orientation, mentorship, and ongoing professional development, onboarding programs foster a sense of belonging, enhance teaching and research effectiveness, and promote alignment with institutional values and culture.
