About Kartik

Kartik joined the group as a Ph.D. student in fall 2015 after earning his undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. His undergraduate research focused on synthesizing CdSe nanostructures and characterizing their absorption, photoluminescence, and structural properties.

Current research utilizes Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) to study surface lattice dynamics’ impact on photocatalytic activity. Focused on correlating experimental vibrational Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) data with dielectric response theory to advance fundamental understanding of this analytical technique.
