About Liuxian

Liuxian Zhang joined Dr. Crozier’s group in Fall 2010 as a Ph.D. student. Research focuses on developing TiO2-based photocatalysts and in situ characterization using environmental TEM under light exposure. Studies surface changes and charge transfer mechanisms critical for pollutant decomposition and energy applications.

Notable achievements include observing light-induced surface amorphization in anatase nanocrystals and studying noble-metal-coated TiO2 under reaction conditions. Developed rhombohedral anatase nanocrystals for photocatalytic studies.
