Our team submitted a proposal to the NSF titled, “Fouling resistant, freestanding zwitterionic polysulfones for osmotically driven membrane processes” which was selected for funding!
Our proposal to study strain-responsive ionene nanocomposites is funded by the ARO!
In collaboration with Prof. Reza Montazami at Iowa State University and Prof. Lisa Hall at Ohio State University, our team’s proposal titled, “Design, Synthesis, and Characterization of Phase Change Materials Based on Nanoparticle-doped Block Ionene Polymers” was funded by the ARO!
Yi’s paper entitled, “Zwitterionic poly(arylene ether sulfone) copolymer/Poly(arylene ether sulfone) blends for fouling-resistant desalination membranes” was accepted to the Journal of Membrane Science!

Matt receives the inaugural Ford Faculty Fellowship!
Matt received the first Ford Faculty Fellowship at the annual SEMTE Celebration of Excellence.
Meng’s paper is accepted in Macromolecular Rapid Communications!
Meng, Kristen, and Ermias’ paper, “Effect of Crosslinker Length and Architecture on the Thermomechanical properties of CNT-loaded Elastomeric Polymer Matrix Composites” was accepted in Macromolecular Rapid Communications this morning! This paper will be featured in a special issue highlighting “Young Talent.” Congrats to Meng and Kristen!

Our DURIP Proposal to the ARO is funded!
Our lab was awarded a 2017 DURIP award from the Army Research Office to purchase a mercury porosimeter!!
