In our lab, we leverage a variety of polymerization techniques to design and engineer innovative sorbents for direct air capture. Our research not only concentrates on the synthesis of these unique materials but also their form factors. We study an array of different forms, including films, particles, fibers, and monoliths, aiming to understand how these physical structures can influence the overall efficacy and efficiency of the carbon capture process. This multidimensional approach allows us to optimize sorbent performance and tailor them to specific applications, which ultimately broadens the potential of DAC technologies.
