Our laboratory’s paramount research objective is to pinpoint the fundamental properties that influence the adsorption/desorption mechanisms in moisture-swing direct air capture (DAC). We strive to achieve this primarily by manipulating the chemical and physical attributes of various materials and subsequently monitoring the effects on DAC performance. To support these investigative pursuits, we are also at the forefront of developing novel moisture-swing specific DAC equipment. Additionally, our research extends to the synthesis of polymers specifically engineered for CO2 capture. By tuning the chemical structure of these polymers, we are able to conduct comprehensive structure-property relationship studies. Our collective efforts continue to fuel breakthroughs in DAC technology and CO2 capture methodologies.
