A non-invasive assessment is executed using IMU sensors to evaluate gait, postural and dynamic stability, and activities of daily living (ADL) among 20 elderly residents recruited from a community-dwelling center. An ADL assessment algorithm is developed from the detrended resultant acceleration, applying threshold and wavelet frequency analysis to determine the physical activity and sleep quality levels of the older adults, providing valuable indicators for them to enhance and optimize their activity levels.
