Congrats to Jui-Yung Chang [CV, Google Scholar] on passing the PhD comprehensive exam and dissertation proposal/prospectus! Please keep up the good work! Thanks so much to the thesis committee members for their time, support and comments.  

Big congratulations to Sydney Taylor (major in Aero. Engr.) on winning the prestigious 2016 NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship (NSTRF). She will have lots of fun in researching and developing novel tunable radiative coatings for dynamic thermal management in spacecrafts, by taking advantage of the fantastic facility at our NETGR Lab!

Big congratulations to Hao Wang [CV, Google Scholar] for successfully defending his PhD and winning the Outstanding Dissertation Award!! Dr. Hao Wang is the first PhD graduated from our NETG group! We wish him the very best on the next journey and look forward to great news and achievements from him!

Thanks to the great efforts from Sydney, Hao, and Yue, our FTIR cryostat is working well, and we have just successfully measured the spectral transmittance of lightly doped silicon sample at temperatures from 77K to 750K at different angles and polarizations. We will have lots of fun with this unique instrument. Cheers!!
