[02/04] New APL publication

The work on the near-field thermal radiation between doped silicon nanowire arrays, by Prof. Wang  in collaboration with Dr. Basu from Intel, is published in Applied Physics Letters. Congratulations!

Basu,* S., and Wang,* L.P., “Near-Field Radiative Heat Transfer Between Doped Silicon Nanowire Arrays,” Applied Physics Letters, Vol. 102, p. 053101.

[2013/01/07] Welcome Hassan and Mirza

Welcome MS students Hassan and Mirza to work in our lab on an applied project for this Spring!

[12/01] Welcome Jui-Yung and Kieran

Welcome Jui-Yung Chang and Kieran O’Dea, who are first year PhD students in SEMTE at ASU, to join in our group to study nanoscale thermal radiation for solar energy harvesting!

[11/14] IMECE’2012 in Houston

Professor Wang attended IMECE’2012 in Houston, TX, Nov. 9-14, 2012. During the conference, he gave a presentation on “Excitation of Magnetic Polaritons in 2D Grating/Thin Film Structures for Thermophotovoltaic Emitters.”

[08/24] Group website established

The Nano-Engineered Thermal Radiation Group website was established before the start of the fall semester.

[08/16] 2012 E2 Camp

Prof. Wang attended E2 Camp in Prescott Pines, Ariz., and enjoyed the activities with ASU engineering freshmen from the class of 2016.
