Nick Kirkby

Nick completed his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Nick’s current research focus is the measurement and characterization of core loss of low permeability magnetic materials, thermal considerations in these systems, and in modular power conversion.

Nick’s background is in software engineering for power electronics including motor controllers and power converters. He is a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (2025).
