Prospective Students

Ph.D. Students – Earn a Ph.D. in Engineering Education Systems and Design

I am recruiting prospective graduate students to join the Engineering Education Systems and Design Ph.D. program at Arizona State University to work with me! I currently have funding to hire two graduate students. Students graduating from bachelor’s degree programs and master’s degree programs are eligible to apply to the program. I am seeking students who are interested in one or more of the following:

  1. Understanding how place and systemic factors impact access to engineering careers
  2. Community engagement in engineering or engineering education contexts
  3. Creating a better understanding of how to implement systems thinking in different educational contexts

Please contact me to discuss your interests and possibilities of working together. See the Engineering Education Systems and Design website for more details about the Ph.D. program.

Undergraduate Students – Learn more about engineering education research

I currently have the capacity to mentor undergraduate students who are open to learning more and interested in gaining experience with engineering education research. Expected workload for undergraduate students would be 5-10 paid hours per week and I would be able to mentor on a topic at the intersection of our interests. If you are interested in working together, please send me a statement of interest (~1-2 paragraphs) stating what kind of research area you might want to explore as well as a copy of your CV or resumé.
