Nanotechnology for Macromolecular Materials Lab

Research in the E. Seo group is focused on designing, synthesizing, and characterizing soft polymeric and functional composites (hybrid materials) at the interface of polymer chemistry, additive manufacturing, self-assembly, and nanotechnology. We strive to establish structure-property relationships and develop sustainable polymeric materials from stimuli-responsive macromolecular and nanostructures.
Currently, our projects are split into four subgroups:
- Dynamic Polymer Nanocomposites
- Wavelength-Selective Photopolymerization
- Solid-State Enzymology using Polymer Engineering
- Non-equilibrium Colloidal Crystals
If you would like to join us, please contact Prof. Seo ([email protected]) and include your CV with research interests and potential project ideas. Prospective PhD students are encouraged to apply to the PhD program in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at ASU. In the application, please indicate your interest in the PI Eileen Seo. We welcome researchers from different backgrounds, including chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or related fields.

We gratefully acknowledge the following organizations for supporting our research and training efforts:
