What are Nature Masterclasses?
Nature Masterclasses on-demand is a fully accessible online training platform for researcher professional development, featuring courses designed and delivered by a selection of journal editors at Nature and internationally recognized experts.
The platform currently offers 24 courses with over 120 hours of learning, where researchers can select the courses and modules they are interested in and for the right stage in their career and research cycle.
How does Nature Masterclasses on-demand training benefit researchers?
Is there a cost? No.
Thanks to the Fulton Schools Office of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ORIEN) and the Graduate College, all faculty, staff and students at Arizona State University have institutional access to the platform.

How do I start?
You will access Nature Masterclasses by logging in with your ASURITE id and password (Single Sign-on, or SSO). But first, you must set up an account. Watch the video below to learn how to set up an account, navigate the site, and see use cases that support your research goals.
How to set up an account
- Go to masterclasses.nature.com.
- Click “Register” in the upper right and select ASU from the list of institutions.
- Complete your profile and confirmation email process.
- Log in via our institutional portal using your normal institutional login details.
After you register, you can login to your ASU SSO account on the institutional login page.
